Million Women Rise 2026

LISG members march to end male violence against women and girls

Thousands of women marched on Million Women Rise this year, an annual event organised by Black/Global majority women, and now in its 19th year of protest to end male violence against women and girls.

Three LISG members travelled to London on the day to attend the march and rally and join other women’s organisations from all over the UK. They experienced the power of being together with women from different backgrounds with one aim, to feel encouraged and strengthened in our fight to resist oppression and create a better future for women and girls.

The fully accessible march makes its way through central London and convenes on Trafalgar Square for a rally with speeches, song, dance and poetry in support of the liberation of girls and women worldwide.
