Camping Weekend

A Camping Experience In Oxfordshire during the weekend with FiLiA.

From Thursday 20 August to Sunday 23 August 2026, members of LISG were invited by FiLiA to attend a camping weekend in Oxford. It was a wonderful opportunity for members to spend time away together, meet new people and enjoy a welcoming and supportive community atmosphere. The camping experience was lovely, and the women we met throughout the weekend were warm, friendly and very accommodating, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we arrived. Each evening, we came together to share dinner as a group, creating a lovely family atmosphere where we could relax, talk, laugh and get to know one another better. During the weekend, we also enjoyed shopping and taking part in various activities together, which added to the fun and gave everyone an opportunity to make new memories. One of the highlights was being invited by people from a nearby residence to attend a social and stall event close to the campsite. We enjoyed browsing the different stalls, purchasing some lovely items, taking part in a raffle and, to our delight, winning some prizes. These activities provided further opportunities to socialise, connect with others and enjoy the community spirit of the weekend. Overall, the FiLiA camping weekend was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience for the LISG members who attended. It was a wonderful opportunity to build friendships, meet new women, share experiences and enjoy time together in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The weekend was filled with laughter, connection and positive memories, and it was an experience that many of us would be very happy to do again in the future.
